Attitude and Effort
“There are two things in life in which we have complete control…attitude and effort” – Chuck Wilson
We believe that it is important to provide incentives and praise to our athletes who consistently show a great attitude and play hard with 100% effort. Too often in youth basketball coaches yell and punish those that fall short in these areas rather than provide positive reinforcement. Genesis basketball’s A&E rewards incentive program was designed to highlight the importance of having a good attitude and putting forth maximum effort.
Here is how it works:
Each practice, camp and game a random child is selected by the coaching staff. The coaches will pay close attention to that child’s attitude and effort during the activity. At the end of the practice the coaching staff will grade their attitude and effort. If they receive an A grade for both areas by the entire group they are awarded by picking one item from the A&E Rewards Store.
